Across ten new tracks (Insight XLIV to Insight LIII), Marchal strips away layers of structure and expectation. While the previous volumes of the Insight series revolved around tight chord lines and structured minimalism, INSIGHT V embraces deconstruction, letting space and silence guide the listener into a more immersive state.
As classically trained musician with roots in musicology and harmony, Marchal’s approach is both intellectual and intuitive. His compositions unfold like inner monologues, translated through felt-covered hammers and warm, resonant keys.
