The label was founded by French musician Julien Marchal.  As Creative Director, he relies on his years of experience in the music industry to create a nurturing, mutually-beneficial space for artists.  As an accomplished pianist, composer, and producer, Julien has collaborated with internationally recognized talents.  His emphasis on teamwork and collaboration is one of the defining elements of Whales Records.

Created and run by artists, Whales wants to create a new kind of label - one driven by a love of art, instead of greed.  Their innovative model ensures artists are in the best possible situation to build long, prospering careers, regardless of their background.
